About PIK V2 (Base Plate)
The PIK V2 Base Plate retains the same sleek dimensions and minimalist style as the original design, but with upgraded materials and manufacturing processes for enhanced durability and weather resistance. A key new feature is the addition of a stick-on PVC panel beneath the base plate, designed to shield fixing points and provide long-term protection against the elements.
Pool Fence Compliance
All PIK models, including PIK V2, meet the requirements of AS1926.1 pool fencing standards, ensuring full compliance and peace of mind.
Installation Notes
Installation remains exactly the same as the previous version. The pre-applied PVC panel on the underside of the base plate must stay in place during installation and will not be visible once fitted. To maintain the finish, we recommend avoiding harsh chemicals—such as acid wash—around newly installed fencing, as these can damage protective coatings.
Why the Update?
The original PIK V1 was withdrawn due to inconsistent supply, which made it difficult to meet project deadlines. To ensure reliability and quality, the product was re-engineered, resulting in the improved and more durable PIK V2.
